Georg Baunach (born 1992) is a German business man and impact investor. He is mainly known for his position as Co-Founder and Managing Partner in Hatch[1], a globally active investment firm focused on aquaculture and alternative seafood, where he oversees strategy and business development. Within his role at Hatch, Baunach was the leading contributor in the formation of Alune Aqua and Umami Meats, two companies active in the shrimp farming sector and in the production of media for cell-based seafood production, respectively. Aside Hatch, Baunach has founded the initiative Plastik Fischer, a company focused on stopping plastic pollution in the oceans by building structures minimising plastic run-offs in rivers.[2] Baunach is a contributor to news outlets such as Reuters[3] and The Fish Site.[4] Baunach graduated from London Business School with a Masters in Business Administration in 2017.[5]
