Geoff Warburton is a Grammy-nominated songwriter from Toronto, Canada. He has worked with numerous artists, including Shawn Mendes, 5 Seconds of Summer, Demi Lovato, Machine Gun Kelly, Backstreet Boys, Quinn XCII, Lauv, Sam Fischer, and Band Camino.
Warburton has co-written a total of 26 songs with Shawn Mendes, including eight tracks on the 2016 album Illuminate, which reached number one in the US[1][2]. This includes the single "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back." He also co-wrote six songs on Mendes' 2018 self-titled album, which also reached number one in the US[3][4]. One of the songs, "In My Blood," was nominated for Song of the Year at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards[5] and won Single of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2019[6], along with Choice Pop Song at the Teen Choice Awards.
In 2023, Warburton signed a joint music publishing deal with Big Machine Music and Range Media Partners.[1] Warburton was previously signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.[7]
