Gene Solutions is a Singapore-headquartered biotechnology company that develops and provides genetic testing services in the fields of reproductive health, including noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT), and oncology, focusing on multi-cancer early detection and tumor monitoring. Gene Solutions operates two College of American Pathologists CAP-accredited laboratories in Singapore and Vietnam.
History
In 2017, Nguyễn Hoài Nghĩa, Giang Hoa, and Nguyễn Hữu Nguyên founded Gene Solutions in Vietnam.[1]
In 2018, Gene Solutions launched triSure, its first NIPT product, with an initial focus on reproductive genetics in Vietnam.
In April 2022, Gene Solutions expanded into oncology with the introduction of cancer screening product - SPOT-MAS, a liquid biopsy workflow for multi-cancer early detection.[2][3]
In late 2022, Gene Solutions launched K-TRACK, a circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) test for molecular residual disease monitoring.
In September 2023, Gene Solutions released K-4CARE, a comprehensive genomic and transcriptomic profiling test for therapy selection.[4]
In May 2026, SPOT-MAS 10 received the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Breakthrough Device Designation.[5]
Funding
In 2021, Gene Solutions received a $15 million investment from Mekong Capital’s Mekong Enterprise Fund IV,[6] followed by a $21 million Series B round in 2023.[7]
In 2025, Gene Solutions received an investment of an undisclosed amount from the Singapore-based healthcare firm August Global Partners to support regional expansion and technology development.[8]
Operations
By 2026, Gene Solutions had expanded its operations across Southeast Asia, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas, including Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, India, Turkey, Brazil, and the USA.[9][10]
