Property damage

  • Arizona sawmill fire was started when a target filled with Tannerite was shot by Dennis Dickey.

The resulting fire burned over 45,000 acres, caused over $8 million of property damage, and over 100 people had to be evacuated [1].

  • 18 April 2018, Gold Coast, Queensland, a car caught fire while the driver was performing a Burnout (vehicle). The driver was arrested for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle[2].
  • December 2018, Meningie, South Australia, a car caught fire while the driver was performing a burnout[3]*
  • 26 October 2019, Waukee, Iowa, at least one window was broken by an explosion caused by a commercially available gender reveal kit[4].

Injuries

  • 7 September 2019, Turkey, Texas, a crop duster piloted by Raj Horan, stalled and crashed while dropping 625 gallons of pink water. The passenger was injured[5].

Deaths

  • 26 October 2019, Knoxville, Iowa, expectant grandmother Pamela Kreimeyer was killed by an explosive device[6].
  • 6 February 2021, Genesee County, Michigan, Evan Thomas Silva was killed by shrapnel from a cannon firing[7][8].
  • 21 February 2021, Liberty, New York, Christopher Pekny was killed while building an explosive device. His brother, Michael Pekny, was injured[9].

Other

  • January 2017, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Jon Sterkel was fined $1000 for detonating explosives without a valid permit[10][11].
  • 4 April 2019, Sydney, a driver performing burnouts had his car impounded. Four people were arrested[12].
