Gelawas is a small village of 2104 hectares in Rohat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gelawas depends on Pali, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gelawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Gelawas's pin code is 306421[4], and village code is 02422500. The area of Gelawas is segregated as 18.09 hectares irrigated area, 1697.43 hectares unirrigated, the 306.62 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 82.19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gelawas is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2200 and has total administration over 389 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pali to sell wool and make their living.
