Gehoon is a small village of 2213 hectares in Barmer Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gehoon depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gehoon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gehoon's pin code is 344001[4], and village code is 02212900. The area of Gehoon is segregated as 1171.28 hectares unirrigated, remaining 1041.65 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
