Gayghat is a small village of 175 hectares in Bansdih Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gayghat depends on Reoti (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gayghat's pin code is 277209[4], and village code is 09291200. The area of Gayghat is segregated as , 30 hectares unirrigated area. the 20 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Reoti (NP) and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
