Gauhani is a small village of 95.07 hectares in Bara Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gauhani depends on Phulpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. The area of Gauhani is segregated as 79.14 hectares irrigated area, 1.525 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.033 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14.37 hectare area not available for cultivation.
