Garhi Champawat is a small village of 1703 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Garhi Champawat depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Garhi Champawat is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Garhi Champawat's pin code is 345021[4], and village code is 02061300. The area of Garhi Champawat is segregated as 1683.21 hectares unirrigated, remaining 19.53 hectare area not available for cultivation.
