Gara Roda is a small village of 121 hectares in Simalwara Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gara Roda depends on Dungarpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 1.90% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Gara Roda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gara Roda's pin code is 314404[4], and village code is 03357300. The area of Gara Roda is segregated as 9 hectares irrigated area, 42.3 hectares unirrigated, the 25 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 45 hectare area not available for cultivation.
