Gantan is a small village of 1619 hectares in Lunkaransar Tehsil in Bikaner district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gantan depends on BIKANER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gantan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. Gantan's pin code is 334604[4], and village code is 00515000. The area of Gantan is segregated as 1515 hectares unirrigated, the 29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 75 hectare area not available for cultivation.
