Gangpura is a small village of 559 hectares in Pachpahar Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gangpura depends on Bhawani Mandi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 105.19% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gangpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gangpura's pin code is 326502[4], and village code is 04084100. The area of Gangpura is segregated as 139.94 hectares irrigated area, 246.86 hectares unirrigated, the 103.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 68.68 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bhawani Mandi and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
