Gangas is a small village of 657 hectares in Railmagra Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of , India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gangas depends on KAPASAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 51.32% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Gangas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gangas's pin code is 313207[4], and village code is 03031200. The area of Gangas is segregated as 51.32 hectares irrigated area, 117.68 hectares unirrigated, the 339.16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 149.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KAPASAN and Rajsamand to sell juggary and make their living.
