Ganesh Puthur is a Malayalam language poet from Kerala, India. In 2023, He received Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar.
Biography
Ganesh Puthur was born on August 5, 1995, at Puthur House in Olavipe, Alappuzha district of Kerala, to Remesan Puthur and Ganga Devi.[1]
Ganesh Puthur did his primary education at St May of Leauca Public School, Thycattussery. After passing Plus Two from Lisieux Public School, he graduated in History from NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry. He completed his Post graduation in History from the University of Hyderabad.
Literary career
Ganesh Puthur published his first poem while in the seventh grade in the Balapamkthy of Mathrubhumi weekly. His poems have been published in magazines like Mathrbhumi weekly, Madhyamam weekly, Chandrika Weekly, Deshabhimani, Prabhata Rashmi, Janashakthi, Kesari and many other periodicals.
Works
Ganesh Puthur has published two collection of poems. Achante Alamara (2020) and Amma Vraykkunna Veedu (2023).
Awards and honours
Ganesh Puthur has won many awards including Kendra Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2023, Dr Mangalam Swaminathan National Award, Mamboo Award, Sanghashabdam Poetry Award, Muttom Sudha Poetry Award, Mathrubhumi vishuppathipp Poetry Award, e.t.c.
