Galthani is a small village of 565 hectares in Sumerpur Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Galthani depends on Sumerpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 144.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Galthani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Galthani's pin code is 306126[4], and village code is 02474200. The area of Galthani is segregated as 144 hectares irrigated area, 160 hectares unirrigated, the 99 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 162 hectare area not available for cultivation.
