Galkara is a small village of 635.4 hectares in Mahasi Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Galkara depends on MAHASI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Galkara's pin code is 271824[4], and village code is 06472600. The area of Galkara is segregated as 155.59 hectares irrigated area, 635.38 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 175.2 hectare area not available for cultivation.
