GEP is an enterprise software and consulting company, providing procurement and supply chain management software, and management consulting services.[3][4] GEP’s clients include Fortune 500 and Global 2000[5] companies such as Kellogg’s[6], Chevron[7], ExxonMobil[8], and Prudential[9]. The company’s SaaS is developed on Microsoft Azure[4][10]. GEP is headquartered in Clark, New Jersey, and has regional offices throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific[11]
History
GEP was founded in 1999 by Subhash Makhija, Roopa Gandhi, Jagadish Turimella, and Neha Shah.[1] Since the early 2010s, the company publishes annual detailed reports on macroeconomic trends and technological developments in procurement and supply chain management.[12] GEP was included in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Procure-to-Pay Suites List as one of the leaders since 2013.[13] In 2020, they were one of the 14 top procurement companies reviewed by Gartner.[14] In 2020, the company saw a 300% more usage in its software due to COVID-19’s impact on the supply chain of many companies.[15] GEP execs have provided the press insights and predictions related to COVID-19.[16][17][18][19] In July 2020, GEP introduced its next-gen accounts payable (AP) automation platform for a cloud-native solution that uses AI and ML.[20] GEP's procurement methods and software have been covered in numerous books and college textbooks.[21][22][23]

GEP services a variety of industries such as consumer packaged goods, travel and hospitality, pharmaceutical, chemicals, renewable energy, utilities, oil and gas, government, industrial manufacturing, insurance and more.[10][24][25] Among GEP's corporate clients are Walmart[16], Kellogg’s, Honda, Chevron,[7] ExxonMobil,[8] John Deere,[26] Prudential,[9] Macy's,[27], Starwood Hotels & Resorts,[28] and Dentsply Sirona.[29]
Products
GEP SMART was launched in 2013 and is a cloud-based procurement management software built on the Microsoft Azure platform.[30][31] It has been named a Top 10 procurement management software by several industry sources.[32][29][33] GEP NEXXE is a supply chain management software.[15][34]
