History
In June 2023, international game development company Nexters Inc. restructured into GDEV holding, while Nexters became its largest wholly-owned subsidiary. This strategic shift [2] aimed to establish a dynamic ecosystem of studios and franchises within the gaming and entertainment sector as well as to foster collaboration and operational efficiency among these entities.
Complementary to Nexters, GDEV oversees the subsidiaries Cubic Games [3] and Dragon Machines [4], the partially controlled assets Royal Ark [5], RJ Games [6], Game Gears [7], among others, as well as any future acquisitions.
Its franchises, such as Hero Wars[8], Island Questaway [9], Pixel Gun 3D[10], and others have accumulated hundreds of millions installs worldwide[11], and the holding focuses on nurturing their growth. [12]
Games
Nexters [11] operates Hero Wars [8], an online RPG fantasy game, and Island Questaway [13], a farming adventure game.
Cubic Games [11] develops Pixel Gun 3D, a mobile first-person shooter,that has generated $200m in bookings. Since its 2013 release, the game has been downloaded 185 million times across iOS and Android devices [14]
Finances
In its financial report for the full year ending December 31, 2022, GDEV Inc. reported a record annual revenue of $480 million, representing an 11% growth from the previous year. The Company achieved a total comprehensive annual income of $11 million and EBITDA of $98 million [15].
