FUN88 is a licensed online gambling brand founded in June 2009. Since inception, FUN88 has partnered with English Premier League clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur F.C., Newcastle United F.C., and Burnley F.C., and athletes Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, and Robbie Fowler. It has sponsored sports leagues such as the Copa America and the Caribbean Premier League.

Sponsorships

In 2010, FUN88 signed as “Official Shirt Sponsor” for English Premier League team Burnley F.C. until 2012.[1]

In 2012, FUN88 partnered with English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur F.C. as an “Official Asian Betting Partner”.[2]Betting portal microsite, Hotspur88, was then launched in 2013.

In 2014, Burnley F.C.’s shirt sponsorship was renewed until 2015.[3]In the same year, FUN88 established its racing presence via FUN88 Racing sponsorship that sponsored various racing teams that competed in GT Asia Championship, Porsche Carrera Cup, Formula 3, Macau GP and the Isle of Man TT.

FUN88 also signed its first brand ambassador, Robbie Fowler in 2014.[4] Fowler is known as the sixth-highest goalscorer in the history of the Premier League with 162 Premier League goals. He earned the title Liverpool Legend, and nickname “God”, due to his skill in scoring goals.

In 2015, FUN88 sponsored sports media property, ONE Championship.

In 2016, Tottenham Hotspur F.C. renewed its partnership with FUN88.[5]And NBA player Steve Nash was signed as brand ambassador. Nash is an eight-time NBA All-Star, seven-time All-NBA selection, and was named NBA MVP twice. He was named the ninth-greatest point guard of all time, by ESPN in 2006. He’s also one of the top players in three-point shooting, free-throw shooting, total assists, and assists per game, in NBA league history.

In 2017, FUN88 sponsored Newcastle United F.C. as its “Official Shirt Sponsor”.[6] Newcastle United F.C. has won four League titles, 6 FA Cups, a Charity Shield, the 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 2006 UEFA Intertoto Cup.

In 2018, FUN88 extended their partnership with Tottenham Hotspur F.C..[7]

In 2019, NBA player Kobe Bryant signed as brand ambassador.[8]Bryant won five NBA championships, a 4-time All-Star MVP, an 18-time All-star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team. He was the youngest player to reach 30,000 career points in the NBA league history. Moreover, FUN88 also partnered with the Copa America as its digital perimeter advertising partner.[9]

Further in 2020, FUN88 renewed a multi-year contract with Newcastle United F.C.. It has also partnered with the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in the same year. CPL is a Twenty20 cricket tournament held annually in the Caribbean.[10]The league includes six franchises where match venues are held on Caribbean islands and the Americas. Known as one of the top cricket leagues in the world, CPL features teams such as Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Jamaica Tallawahs.

FUN88 was nominated for an EGR Award organized by eGaming Review Magazine, as the "Asian Live Gaming Operator of the Year", in 2009 and 2010.[11]

Licensing

FUN88 in the UK is operated by TGP Europe Limited. It is licensed by The Gambling Commission of Great Britain (under the Gambling Act 2005), with self-exclusion system supported by Gamstop.
