Francis Lucille (born 1944) is a French-born spiritual teacher of Nondualism, a philosophy in the Advaita Vedanta tradition.[1]

Life

Lucille is a resident of California, based in Temelcula, where he holds retreats, on-demand webcasts, and in-person dialogues. He has been a featured speaker at several SAND conferences.[2][3][4]

He holds science degrees from École Polytechnique[5] and ENSAE[6]. In 1975 he met Jean Klein and became his friend and disciple. In addition to Klein, his primary influences were Jiddu Krishnamurti, Krishna Menon, and Wei Wu Wei [7]. Rupert Spira was his student [8].

Teachings

His philosophy represents a contemporary nexus of Eastern philosophy (Vedanta) and Western philosophy (beginning with Parmenides)[9][10]. His primary message is that awareness is a distinct state of Noumenal (not phenomenal) consciousness and that self-realization is not attainable through any deliberate mental process.[11][12]
