Francesco G. Tigani[1] (Messina, 1987) is an Italian philosopher, essayist, writer and editor[2]. He has written over twenty books including historical, philosophical, narrative and poetic texts. Since 2019 he has been editor of the scientific series "Bustrofedica" for Aracne Editrice. Graduated in History and Philosophy at the University of Messina, where he trained as a classical philologist and modernist historian, he has a Ph.D. in History of Political Doctrines. Scholar of ancient thought and its reflections on contemporary thought, in his works he has provided a personal interpretation of nihilism, linking it to Euripides' Medea[3][4]. He analyzed and commented on the Gospel of Thomas in a philosophical key[5]. He also focused on the study of utopias as archetypes of totalitarianisms[6] and proposed considering the Qin Shi Huang's empire as the first totalitarian state in history[7]. His philosophical research[8] is intertwined with his literary work[9], which includes novels and poetry collections.
