Frances Olubowale Oke (born 8 September 1956) is a Nigerian Televangelist, Author and Educationist. Oke is the founder and Presiding Bishop of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries aka Christ Life Church Worldwide with headquarters at Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is the host of the Voice of the Lord broadcast in Radio and Television stations across Nigeria.[1] Bishop Oke is the current National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN);[2] [3] [4] [5] and also the Chancelor of Precious Cornerstone University Ibadan. which was founded as a private university in 2017 by the Sword of the Spirit Ministries.

Early Life and Family

Oke is a native of Kasumu Village in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Nigeria. He attended St Paul Primary School, Kasumu and Ibadan East Community Secondary School before proceeding to Wesley Teacher's College, Ibadan for his General Certificate of Education. He later continued his education at the Politechnic of Ibadan and in 1978 gained admission to the University of Lagos where he graduated with a BSc in Land and Engineering Survey in 1982.[6]

Oke is married to Rev. (Dr) Victoria Oke and they are blessed with two children: Late Dorcas Oke and Pastor Isaac Oke as well as four grandchildren.[7]
