Foodpanda Bangladesh Limited, also known as 'foodpanda' is Bangladeshi online food and grocery delivery service company which is a subsidiary of Berlin-based Company Delivery Hero. [1] foodpanda begin its journey in December 2013 at Dhaka, Bangladesh co-founded by Ambareen Reza and Zubair B A Siddiky. It has achieved "Digital Bangladesh Award 2022" in institutional category and become first e-commerce firm to win the national award. [2]

History

Foodpanda was launched in December 2013 as a venture of Rocket Internet which is the world’s largest internet incubator.[1] [3] In December 2016, foodpanda Bangladesh Limited along with other 22 entities of foodpanda across the world were acquired by the German competitor Delivery Hero.[4].In covid 19 pandemic lockdown, foodpanda Bangladesh has gained 300 percent growth.[5]. Now foodpanda Bangladesh has 20,000 freelancers riders working in all 64 districts of Bangladesh [5].

New Vertical Platforms

Foodpanda Bangladesh has launched Pandamart in December 2020, focusing delivery of groceries within 30 minutes and set up warehouses throughout Dhaka and outside Dhaka. [6].[1]. foodpanda Bangladesh has introduced logistics-as-a-service solution ‘Pandago’ across 64 districts of Bangladesh in October 2021 as a on-demand rider service.[7]

Award and Achievements

Foodpanda Bangladesh has achieved several national and international awards. In December 2022, foodpanda Bangladesh has achieved 'Digital Bangladesh Award 2022' [8] Co-founder & Managing Director Ambareen Reza has received 'Bangladesh C-Suite Awards-2022' as 'MD of the Year".
