Fishtank, also known as fishtank.live, is an online 24/7 interactive reality show created by comedians Sam Hyde and Jet Neptune. The show's premise, similar to that of Big Brother, is the confinement of 8 random individuals within a house whom are voted out on an irregular basis for 6 weeks until one remains to win a cash prize. However, it differs in that it is streamed 24/7 from an independently hosted site, as opposed to a syndicated television format. The selection of contestants is carefully curated to include individuals with peculiar and intriguing personalities, with the aim of generating captivating content for viewers.[1][2]

Premise

In Fishtank, contestants are placed in an isolated environment, where they interact with each other in the absence of external stimuli. This creates an environment that is conducive to unfiltered, raw interactions between the contestants. As an interactive show, Fishtank offers viewers, using real money, the opportunity to engage with the contestants by participating in polls, sending text-to-speech messages, controlling the temperature within the house or such as having a contestants bed removed for the night. Hyde and the producers will occasionally enter the house to have the contestants perform challenges.[3]
