Firanmit Megersa (born September 11, 2001) is an Ethiopian software engineer, network specialist, and ICT competition laureate known for representing Ethiopia in international Huawei competitions. A graduate of Addis Ababa University’s Institute of Technology (AAiT), he specializes in network infrastructure and software development.
Early Life and Education
Born in Jibat Woreda, West Shewa Zone (Oromia Region, Ethiopia), Megersa attended Filloo Primary School and later Silkamba High School for grades 9–10. Despite socioeconomic challenges, he relocated to Ambo to attend Ambo Preparatory School, where he earned exemplary scores in the 2022/2023 Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination.
In 2023, he joined AAiT’s Department of Software Engineering and Information Technology, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Information Technology.
