Finlay Cross-Adair is a footballer from Longridge, Lancashire. Cross-Adair signed for Preston North End on a 2-year U19s scholarship and signed a professional contract in December 2022. PNE had high hopes for the youngster - a boyhood supporter of the club - but he failed to live up to expectations at Championship level and was loaned out to Bamber Bridge in March 2023 for the remainder of the 23/23 season.

In June 2023, Finlay Cross appeared in court to face six charges of assault against a woman. It is alleged that he kicked or punched the woman on six separate occasions between Januar and May 2022. He is accused of following the woman to Spain where he attacked her in a hotel room causing facial injuries. Due to stand trial in February 2024, Cross-Adair denies 6 charges of assault, coercive controlling behaviour and stalking.

In October 2023, Cross-Adair was involved in a potentially career-ending road traffic collision when he crashed his Seat Ibiza car head-on into a Mercedes Sprinter van on the A6 between Preston and Lancaster.
