Farzana Jameel PC is a Sri Lankan lawyer, and former Additional Solicitor General of the Attorney General's Department of Sri Lanka. She is the first Sri Lankan Muslim Lady to be sworn in as President's Counsel.
Life
Jameel was admitted to the Bar in 1988 and subsequently appointed as a State Counsel in 1990. She served in various capacities including Senior State Counsel and Deputy Solicitor General before being promoted to Additional Solicitor General.[1][2]
Jameel is married to Fahim Jameel, a former president of the Sri Lanka Dental Association, and is the daughter-in-law of the late Justice M. Jameel, a former Supreme Court Judge. She is also a mother to two children, Sarah Jameel and Imran Jameel.[2]
