Facility management, sometimes known as FM or facilities management, is a branch of management that specialises in the smooth operation of buildings and other real estate assets. It integrates people, location, process, and technology to guarantee the built environment's functioning, comfort, safety, and efficiency, as defined by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). Certification is offered by organisations that are part of the Global Facility Management Association (Global FM).
