Ewaen Sorae is a Nigerian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political figure known for his contributions to business development, education, and community empowerment. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Ewaen attended Word of Faith and Federal Staff Primary School in Benin and completed his secondary education at Greater Tomorrow Secondary School, Benin. He earned a degree in Accountancy from the University of Benin in 2000 and later pursued a master's degree in Marketing Management at the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom, specializing in Business Strategy and Leadership.

ENTREPRENEURIAL VENTURES:

Esorae Home[1]

In 2010, Sorae founded Esorae Home, a company providing hospitality services. Over the years, the business has grown from a small operation with two employees to a larger enterprise employing over 60 people.[2] Esorae Home has expanded to multiple cities and supports local production with a manufacturing facility for the hospitality industry.[3]

WhiteTree Retail

Ewaen launched WhiteTree Retail in 2020, focusing on retail and backward integration for the food and beverage industry. The business was acquired by South African retail company Pick and Pay in 2022.[4]

WhiteTree Lagos, part of this initiative, is a restaurant located in Ikoyi, Lagos, catering to fine and bistro-style dining.

Pershing Hills Elementary[6]

In 2019, Ewaen Sorae co-founded Pershing Hills Elementary, focusing on early childhood and elementary education. The school has grown from five students to over 120 and now operates from a modern facility with a capacity of 350 students.[7]

Esorae Urban, the real estate arm of Ewaen's business ecosystem, operates under Opes Venit and employs a build-and-operate model. One of its notable projects, Glover Retail, offers luxury shopping and retail spaces in Ikoyi, Lagos.

PHILANTHROPIC INITIATIVES:

Ewaen established the Esorae Foundation[8] to support underprivileged children through scholarships and skill-building initiatives. The foundation works within his business ecosystem to provide employment opportunities for individuals with acquired skills.

POLITICAL CAREER

Ewaen Sorae has been a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) since 2001. In 2023, he ran for a seat in the Edo State House of Assembly, representing Ovia North. His political engagement focuses on community development and grassroots empowerment.
