Escarion is a death metal band based in Melbourne, Australia. The band currently consists of five members, John Arhondis, Rhys McKenzie, Tim Bottams, Louis Parengkuan and Gaia Mitting [1].
History
Escarion originally formed in 2016 with John Arhondis, Rhys McKenzie and Jonathan McGivern. All founding members were in the band Vintage Ruin before it split and decided to form a new band together [2]. In 2017, Tom Lewko joined the band as a guitarist. Unfortunately for Escarion, in 2019, McGivern left the band and was replaced by Tim Bottams as drummer. In January 2021, Escarion released Pillars of the Faith [3]. During some time between 2022 and 2023, Louis Parengkuan joined. In 2023, Escarion welcomed their first female member, Gaia Mitting, who first appeared in 'Towards a Futile Existence'.
