Erica Ngozi Ugomma Blessing Nlewedi[1](Born on March 13, 1994) is a Nigerian actress, model and TV reality show star and the Chief Executive Officer of Beluxia Hair[2]. She won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Girl in Nigeria Award in 2014 and was nominated as a housemate in Nigeria's popular TV reality show, Big Brother Naija (season 5) (Lock Down Edition).[3][4]

Early life and education

Erica was born to the family of Eric Ike Nlewedim[5] in Umuahia Abia state in the Eastern Region, Nigeria. She grew up in Lagos Nigeria.[6] She graduated from Victory Grammar School, and proceeded to have a degree program with the Covenant University, where she graduated with Business Administration, and furthered her education at Met Film School in London.[7]

Career

Modeling

Erica started her career with a passion for modeling while she ran her company Beluxia Hair. Her first modeling endorsement was with Natures Gentle Touch a cosmetic brand that deals with hair product, before proceeding to contest for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MGBN) pageant representing Kogi state,[8] she also earned the MBGN Miss Photogenic award.[9]

Acting

In 2015 after graduating from Met Film School, she ventured into her career as an actress she played the leading role in Secrets and Scandals[10]. She has played major roles in movie series such as Royal Castle and Being Farouka.[11] She played a major in a nollywood romantic comedy movie Hire a Woman (film) where her character name was Nifemi.[12] The movie featured notable Nigerians actor and actress such as Alexx Ekubo, Nancy Isime, Uzor Arukwe. She was also played a leading role in Made in Heaven series which featured top Nollywood stars such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Toyin Abraham and Ayo Makun.[13]

Reality show

In 2020 Erica participated in 5th edition (Lockdown Edition) of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.[3] She was disqualified on September 6th, 2020[14][15][16][17]. After her disqualification, a fundraising of hundred thousand U.S dollars ($100K) was set for her through GoFundMe,[18][19] where her fans were able to donate fourteen thousand U.S dollars.[20] Erica before leaving the house apologist to everybody she has offended, that it was out of emotional stress she is pass through, made her to react some ways.[21][22][23]

Endorsements

She has secured endorsement deals from Aaron Cosmetics, Access Bank plc and Maltina.[24]
