Eric D. Subin (born April 3, 1986) is an American attorney and a lawyer at the New York-based law firm, Subin Associates, LLP. He is an established trial litigator specializing in personal injury and civil litigation, and a frequent commentator on media outlets such as CourtTV and Fox5NY.
Education
Subin graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and philosophy.[1] He then earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he attended from 2008 to 2011.[1] Following graduation, Subin continued to develop and specialize his legal career by pursuing additional certifications in international law at the University of Oxford and the Cayman Islands Law School. Subin has been a licensed and practicing attorney in the State of New York since 2012.[2]
Career
After graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Subin worked at international courts, including the Special Court for Sierra Leone.[3] During this period, he worked under the Office of the Prosecutor, led by Brenda J. Hollis, during the prosecution of former Liberian President Charles Taylor.[4] Charles Taylor was arrested in 2006 with an indictment of 11 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity. His trial was held in The Hague, Netherlands, and he was found to be “an impediment to stability and a threat to the peace” in Liberia. Taylor was ultimately convicted on 11 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity and sentenced to 50 years’ imprisonment, which he is serving in the United Kingdom.[5][6]
Following this experience, Subin worked as an Associate Attorney at DeHeng Law Offices in Beijing, China, from 2011 to 2012. In this role, he assisted with complex contract review for corporate clients and matters related to international trade compliance, as described in professional legal directory profiles.

After gaining international legal experience, Subin returned to the United States to establish his career in New York. Legal controversies
Subin and his family firm, Subin Associates, LLP, have been named as defendants in lawsuits alleging the fabrication of accident claims and the exaggeration of injuries.[1] In the federal RICO lawsuit filed by plaintiffs Roosevelt Road Re and Tradesman Program Managers, a U.S. District Court judge dismissed the case in June 2025.[2][7] The judge ruled that the plaintiffs failed to adequately prove direct financial injury under the RICO statute. The dismissal was without prejudice. A separate but similar RICO lawsuit has also been filed by Union Mutual Fire Insurance Company, and is ongoing.[8]
Personal life
Subin is married to Shannon Geraghty, a former beauty pageant titleholder, having been crowned Miss Georgia Teen USA in 2008.[9]
