Erfan Fard (Persian: عرفان قانعی فرد‎, born September 21, 1976) is an American-Iranian author of Middle East, Iran, Counter-terrorism books and university researches regarding these issues.[1] His books include After 60 Years: The official Biography of Jalal Talabani,[2] In The Net of Events, an interview with Parviz Sabeti,[3] Nightmare of Evin (memoires of a political prisoner at Evin Prison), and The Iran Transnational Terrorist Network. Fard has also written under the full name Erfan Qaneei Fard. Currently, he is a counter-terrorism analyst and Middle East Studies researcher.[4]

Biography

Fard was born in Sanandaj on September 21, 1976. He moved as a student to United Kingdom. He attended London Metropolitan University.[5] After Studying in International Security Studies, he attended the California State University's Department of Politics.[6] Fard was a First Author who wrote the official Biography of Jalal Talabani with the authorization of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Iraqi Presidency Office in Iraq.[7]

Then, Fard wrote an exclusive interview with Parviz Sabeti, a high ranking authority of SAVAK, and was awarded the Academic Research by president Barham Salih and president Muhammad Fuad Masum of Iraq.[8]

Fard returned to the United States and went back to University, where he received his degree in political science and history. He has had several interviews with the media, including Voice of America,[9] BBC,[10]} Iran International,[11] IraneFard,[12] and Voice of Israel.[13] Fard resides in Washington, D.C..

Fard's earlier books were in Persian. He is also a counter-terrorism analyst and Middle East Studies researcher based in Washington, DC. Fard spent approximately 12 Years researching in the Middle East regarding Transnational Terrorist Network and the destructive role of the Iranian regime's terrorist proxies supported by IRGC.[14]

Fard is the translator of The Time of The Assassins by Henry Valentine Miller, Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, The Kurdish Politics in Middle East by Nader Entessar, In The Net of Events, The Storm of Events, Iran Transnational Terrorist Network, The Field of Fight by Michael Arthur Ledeen and Michael Thomas Flynn,[15] The Secret War with Iran (The 30-Year Clandestine Struggle Against the World's Most Dangerous Terrorist Power) by Ronen Bergman,[16] and Democracy by Condoleezza Rice. Fard also writes his analysis in The Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies [17] and some online newspapers in English, such as The Algemeiner Journal.[18]
