MIT massive open online courses

Erdin Beshimov is the producer of MIT's first massive open online course on entrepreneurship: "Entrepreneurship 101: Who is your customer?"[3][4][5] The MOOC was offered on edX, an online educational program created by Harvard and MIT, and has since been translated into Arabic, Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish, and Turkish.[6][7][8].

MIT Bootcamps

As Founder of MIT Bootcamps, Erdin Beshimov pioneered the combination of a massive open online course and an on-campus boot camp into a blended educational program.[9][10][11][12]

Emigration to the United States

Erdin Beshimov's family emigrated to the United States for political asylum. His father, Bakyt Beshimov,[13], was a prominent opposition politician, party leader and diplomat in Kyrgyzstan. After several assignation attempts on the father, the family moved to the United States.[14]

Awards

As student at MIT, Erdin Beshimov co-founded the MIT Entrepreneurship Review.[15] The publication bridged the gap between academic research on entrepreneurship and technology innovation and popular media for entrepreneurs.[16][17] The publication also published interviews with industry luminaries.[18] The founding team was awarded the Patrick J. McGovern, Jr '59 Entrepreneurship Award for contribution to the study and practice of entrepreneurship at MIT.[19][20]
