Erdem Silay (born June 14 1990 Karaman, Turkey) is a Turkish artist, journalist and author. He is also a columnist for Karaman [1] newspaper.
Biography
Silay was born in Karaman, Turkey. After he graduated from primary school his parents moved to Ankara. Just after a year in Ankara, Silay moved to Karaman where he spend the rest of his life. He graduated from Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey University Economical and Commercial Sciences Institute and earned a master's degree in economics. He was awarded with Turkey's most important journalism awards. He is a Board Member of Nazım Hikmet Culture and Art Foundation. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of Karaman.gen.tr news site since 2014.
Erdem Silay produced the political documentary Oradaydım for CNN Türk TV channel between the years 2005 and 2010. The series explain the stories of more than 250 events related to recent Turkish history. Youth Committee Chairman of the Karaman Branch of the Hizmet-İş Sendikası Union in Turkey.[2][3]
