Entrex Carbon Market is a private blockchain-based platform that allows investors to buy and sell carbon offsets.[1][2] The platform is operated by Entrex Capital Market, a broker-dealer registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).[3][4][5] The company was later acquired by UHF Logistics Group Inc. on June 1, 2022.[6]

History

Entrex Carbon Market was started in 2019 to use Entrex Capital Market's blockchain for transactions involved with trading carbon credits.[7] Stephen H. Watkins is the founder and CEO of the company.[8][9] The company partnered with Net Zero Analysis and Smart Roofs Solar to enable an efficient, blockchain based, trading market for smaller producers and larger buyers to securely and safely trade carbon offsets and credits.[10][11][12] Universal Solar Technology also partnered with Entrex to launch ten verified carbon offset issuers on the blockchain.[13][14] In early 2023, Entrex partnered with Theta Trading to establish a new marketplace for carbon offsets and enable carbon-emitting businesses to purchase credits and reduce their carbon footprint.[15]

Acquisitions

In 2021, Entrex acquired Net Zero Analysis and Design to become better integrated into the carbon offsets market.[16] In June, 2022 UHF Logistics Group, Inc. acquired Entrex Carbon Market LLC from Entrex, Inc.[6]
