Emomotimi Dennis Guwor is a Nigerian lawmaker, a two-term member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Warri South West State Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).[1][2].

Hon. Guwor became a member of the Delta State House of Assembly in the year 2019 after winning the March 9, 2019 general elections to represent Warri South West State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly polling a total votes of 131,469 defeating his opponent Comrade Eyengho Besidone of the All Progressive Congress (APC)[3]All Progressives Congress|.

He was re-elected for the second term into the house after his landslide victory at March 18, 2022 State House of Assembly Elections for Warri South West State Constituency, polling a total of 7,932 votes defeating his closest opponent Deacon Tekedor Pinasine Clement of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who polled 3,016 votes of the total valid votes cast.[1]

Public interest and concerns

On May 13, 2020; Hon. Guwor raised a motion on the floor of the house under matter of urgent public importance on the rising case of dead fishes along the shore lines of river Forcados, the Escravos river and their tributaries such as the coastal and Riverine Communities such as Ekemetagbene in Bomadi Local Government Area, Akparemogbene, Oyangbene and all the Communities in Ogulagha and Iduwini Kingdoms in Burutu Local Government Area, the entire Gbaramatu Kingdom, Ugborodo Communities, all Communities in Orere area in Warri South West Local Government Area and Ogheye and other Communities in Warri North Local Government Area respectively in Delta State. The motion garnered tremendous support from the house and prompted national response from the Presidency for a Joint Investigation together with the Federal Ministry of Environment and its parastatals such as National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) and National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) and the matter generated public reactions and relief materials were provided to the affecting communities whiles the root cause of the matter is been sorted out.[4][5]
