Emilia Roosmann (born 19 March 1987) is a Swedish-Norwegian actress and native speaker of both languages. She has featured in several roles in television series, film and on stage. Fall 2023, Roosmann will become part of the ensemble at Folkteatern in Gothenburg, Sweden to anticipate in Ett Drömspel.

After graduating from Stockholm University of the Arts (2019), Roosmann continued her acting career by joining the ensemble at The National Stage, Bergen (Den Nationale Scene, DNS), the oldest permanent theatre in Norway. Although at an early stage in her career, Roosmann debuted in the title role as Emma, in Gustave Flaubert’s play ‘Emma Bovery’, in her first production at DNS.

In television and on the screen, Roosmann has starred in the Norwegian action thriller ‘Maskineriet’ (‘The Machinery’) as Monika, playing opposite Kristoffer Joner. In the Swedish drama series, ‘Knutby’, Roosmann portrayed the role of Mikaela.

Roosmann also frequently work as an professional voice over talent doing voice overs for commercials, animations & more.

Early life

Emilia Roosmann was born in Stockholm. She was brought up in an artistic family; her father Magnus Roosmann is a Swedish actor. Her mother, Elisabeth Guttormsen (nee Ekstam), costume designer. After the divorce of her parents, Roosmann moved to Langesund, Norway when the mother remarried Guttorm Guttormsen a Norwegian theatre musical director, composer and jazz musician. Roosmann attended primary and secondary schools in Langesund, and high school in Porsgrunn. She currently resides in Stockholm.
