Emile Education is an edtech company based in Bolton, UK that sells the Emile range of learning apps.[1][2][3][4][5]

The Emile range was initially developed under a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University with funding from Innovate UK. [6] The range initially was based on a pedagogical approach known as "Clil" - Content Language Integrated Learning[7] and was launched in 2017.[8][9] Subsequent funding in excess of £100,000 was received from the Greater Manchester Export Fund.[10]

Emile was featured at BETT 2018[11]

Emile has been shortlisted for a number of awards including by the Bookseller's PitchED[12] and as Edtech Company of the Year in 2018[13] and 2019[14], and their MD was listed in the UK's EdTech50.[15]

Emile formed part of a trade mission to Mexico[16] organised by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and the UK's Department for International Trade (DIT).[16]
