Emanuel Casablanca (born November 8, 1983) is an American Brooklyn-based blues singer, songwriter, guitarist[1] and philanthropist.
Early Life and Education
Emanuel Casablanca was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His mother was a music teacher in his younger years.[2] The genres that influenced him the most include: classic rock, jazz, hip-hop and blues. Casablanca graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he studied Business Finance. He later attended New York University for graduate school, however he did not graduate.
Musical Career
Casablanca has collaborated on recordings with many notable musicians and blues artists including Grammy Award winner Jimmy Carpenter,[3] Grammy-nominated Eric Gales,[4] guitarist Paul Gilbert,[5] Blues Music Award winners Albert Castiglia,[6] Joanna Connor,[7] Kat Riggins,[8] Elliot Sharp, Bill Laswell, Cheap Trick drummer Daxx Nielsen,[9] and many others. Through his charity, The Emanuel Casablanca Foundation, which he started in 2024, he has performed shows in the United States of America, England, Brazil, Scotland and Ireland to support the efforts of local nonprofit organizations. Some of the organizations that he has partnerships with include: Perfect 10 of Hudson, New York,[10] United Way of New York City, Medical Relief for Ukraine (all in the USA), Social Bites (of Scotland), Focus (Ireland), Ukraine Relief (England).[11]
