Elza Matiz ; born Elza Luijendijk on 11 September 1995 in Amersfoort) is a Dutch model. Her career started while she was still in high school, at the age of 16, when she was selected at a casting in a hotel in Amsterdam to walk exclusively for the Prada 2012 runway show in Milan. After which she walked the runways in Paris for Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Miu Miu and Yves Saint Laurent, the latter which she opened and closed.[2]

She paints and grew up being creative,[3] however, When she first started modelling she didn’t know much about fashion. As an international model. She has walked in many runway shows and recognises that a lot of time and work goes into creation of [4] Elza also designs accessories herself. [2] [5]

She has appeared in fashion campaigns for Versace,[6] and Prada. [7] . In 2022 Elza became the face of fragrance campaigns for Estee Lauder.[8] She also holds a beauty contract with La Mer Estee Lauder Companies [8]. In 2020 she took part of the TAG Heuer connected launch as an ambassador. [9]

Elza has become a runway regular for Jean Paul Gaultier and appeared in his 50th anniversary and final couture show , [10] [11] She has also appeared in magazines such as Vogue in editorials shot by Tim Walker , Steven Klein and Peter Lindbergh, [12] [13] as well as magazine covers for Elle [14] , Harpers Bazaar [15] , and international issues of Vogue. [16] [17] She has worked with photographers such as Steven Meisel, and Karl Lagerfeld. [3]

Elza went to acting school in Los Angeles and currently studies business in NYC where she lives, while resuming her modelling career. [4]
