Elysia Nicole Downings (born November 5th 1990), also known as Elysia Nicole, is a British photographer, poet, reality television personality and webcam model.

Early Life

Downings was born in Stockport, Greater Manchester and raised in Fairfield Estate, Buxton, Derbyshire. From a young age she had a passion for the arts, auditioning for her first stage role at the age of 6. In her second audition at the age of 11, she was selected for her first paid acting role as the lead Dwarf in Buxton Opera House's annual pantomime. At age 13, after difficulties with bullying, she moved from Buxton Community School to Lady Manners School, where she became a member of MENSA's Gifted and Talented, a programme for young children with IQ's in the top 5% of the country..[1] She was raised by her British single Mother. During Downings' teen years, her Mother suffered from alcohol abuse and was involved in a violent relationship with a same-sex partner[2]. Her Mother was incarcerated for arson due to a suicide attempt, following her Egyptian Father's suicide in 2007.[3]

Photography

Following the birth of her first child in 2013, Downings began experimenting with photography. In 2015, her photography work was displayed in the National Portrait Gallery, London after winning a nationwide competition on association with Photobox[4]. She also shot the music video 'Click' for music band Lock. In 2019, Downings was the photographer for Musician Lucy Spraggan's album artwork 'Today Was A Good Day' - reaching number 12 in the UK charts. Downings also photographed numerous celebrity weddings[5] and also worked as a freelance fashion photographer.

Poetry and Literature

Between 2016 and 2017, Downings wrote and published three short books, including a poetry book[6] and a children's book under a pseudonym.

Reality Television

In 2018, Downings was part of the cast for one episode of 'Naked Beach'[7] for Channel 4. Later the same year, she was part of the main cast for the series 'ReFreshers Week'[8] for MTV.

Webcam Modelling

In late 2018, Downings began webcam modelling, and shortly after gained widespread media and press attention. She has spoken openly with various national media outlets and journalists about her work, including UniLad[9] and Vice Media [10].

In September 2020, Downings announced via social media that she had made the decision to quit webcam modelling.
