Elmedia Player is a media player application for macOS, developed by Eltima Software and distributed in freeware and proprietary versions.[1][2] It is hosted on the Mac App Store[3]. Its list of compatible formats includes lossless and compressed files, CD and DVD data, and Adobe Flash videos. Compatibility is achieved through the use of third-party libraries, including ffmpeg.

Features
Layout
Elmedia Player makes heavy use of the macOS Menu Bar, which provides access to most of its functions. The rest is accomplished with a seek bar, which can optionally display preview thumbnails, and a button array for volume control, pausing and switching between tracks. Most menu items have an assigned hotkey.
Playback
Media files can be played normally, or with various adjustments. This includes modified playback speed, audio equalization and synchronization, and configurable brightness, contrast and saturation. Bookmarks can be created for a particular file.
Streaming
DLNA, AirPlay 2[4] and Google Cast protocols are supported. When connected, the player can transmit video and audio, and initiate screen mirroring sessions. Streaming compatibility options are present, such as subtitle encoding.[5]
Exported files
Elmedia Player produces three types of media files. The list consists of .swf files[6] (converted from Projector EXEs), .m3u playlists and .srt subtitles (only for the tracks that have been downloaded on OpenSubtitles).[7][8]
