Elle (stylized ELLE) is a multinational women's lifestyle magazine with a focus on fashion, beauty, health, and entertainment. It was founded in France and is published in over 100 countries. In French, the title translates as "her" or "her." It was established in 1945 by Hélène Gordon-Lazareff and her husband, the novelist Pierre Lazareff, as a non-profit organisation. The magazine's audience has steadily increased since its inception, reaching an all-time high of 800,000 subscribers in France by the 1960s. Elle has now extended beyond France's borders, establishing a worldwide network of newspapers and readers in the process. The inaugural issue of Elle's Japanese magazine was published in 1969, making it the first of many foreign Elle publications to follow.

Previous editors of the journal have included Jean-Dominique Bauby, who is well-known for his memoir, and Roberta Myers, who was the magazine's editor-in-chief for the longest period of time. Nina Garcia is the current editor-in-chief of Elle, having taken over for Myers following the latter's retirement from the role.

Elle magazine is often regarded as the world's biggest fashion publication, with 46 worldwide versions published in more than 60 countries. In all, Elle magazine has more than 69 million readers, with the majority of them being women. In addition to the magazine, the Elle brand encompasses 33 websites that are accessible from anywhere in the world and attract 370 million monthly visits. The brand is owned by the Lagardère Group, which is based in France. Elle's formal headquarters are in Paris, while licenced publishers may be found in a variety of different locations across the world.
