Elizaveta Saparovna Karaeva (Garaýewa in Turkmen) was a renowned Turkmen actress, known for her contributions to the performing arts in Turkmenistan[1]. She held the following awards - People's Artist of the Turkmen SSR and People's Artist of the Soviet Union. She was a member of the Turkmen Drama Theater named after Mollanepes.

Filmography

She played a lead role in the movie titled White Mist (Белая Мгла in Russian)[2]. White Mist a Soviet Turkmen drama film released in 1977, directed by Khodzha Kuli Narliyev. The film portrays Turkmen life during the early years of the Soviet rule delving into themes of tradition, cultural change, and the struggle for survival in the rapidly changing society. Likewise, she appeared in the film No Smoke Without Fire (Нет Дыма Без Огня) 1972 based on the story of story of 'Persistent' by Jumageldyev, T [3]. Karaeva also portrayed in the film Mahtymkuli, 1968 [4]. Karaeva also played in Morning Riders, Dad will Return, Solar Time, When a Woman Saddles a Horse, Mysteries of Mum [5]
