Elias Munshya was born in Chiwempala, Chingola (Zambia) in 1978.

Elias Munshya was called to the Alberta Bar on May 3, 2016. He practiced in Calgary, Alberta as a civil litigator. He represented the family of Mr. Bolanle Alo, a Nigerian man, who died after an alternacation with Canadian border agents on a plane at Calgary International Airport (YYC). At the time of his death, Mr. Alo was being deported from Canada to Nigeria.[1]
Ambassador
On June 27, 2022 Dr. Elias Munshya was sworn-in by President Hakainde Hichilema as Zambia's High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Australia[2][3] succeeding Ambassador Frank Bwalya. He presented letters of credence to Australia's Governor General His Excellency the Honourable David Hurley on October 10, 2022[4][5] clad in Zambia's traditional siziba dress.[6][7]
