Eli Vered Hazan was born in Jerusalem, Israel on August 5th, 1977. He attained his B.A and M.A Degree in History from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and studied German Language Studies in the University of Vienna.[1] Ambassador Vered Hazan became a columnist at Israel Hayom[2], the daily newspaper, after obtaining his degrees, while working as a history teacher at a public college in Ramla. He later joined the Likud Party as an advisor.

He has extensive experience on the cabinet workings and political scene, particularly in Israel and the Middle East - He served as an advisor to various cabinet ministers, such as former Minister of Education, MK Gideon Saar, former Political Advisor to The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Intelligence, MK Dan Meridor.

From 2014 to 2023, he held the positions of Foreign Affairs Director of the Likud Party.[3] as well as the Vice Chairman of the International Democrat Union[4]. In 2021, he became the spokesperson of the Likud party and the Leader of the Opposition, the now-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Ambassador Vered Hazan recently joined Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was assigned to hold the ambassadorship in Singapore[5]

Ambassador Vered Hazan is fluent in Hebrew and English and wrote his thesis subject on the Political and Media Aspects of the Kastner Trial for his Masters at The Department of History at The Hebrew University.

He is married to Gila Vered Hazan and the couple has two children, aged 2 and 4.
