Elani is a small village of 1049 hectares in Desuri Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Elani depends on Rani, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 29.90% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Elani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Elani's pin code is 306503[4], and village code is 02457800. The area of Elani is segregated as 39 hectares irrigated area, 221.08 hectares unirrigated, the 708 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 80.9 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rani and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
