El Único Gio (born November 7th 1989, Grande Prairie, Alberta) is an Urban music musician, singer, and songwriter from Canada. Known for his distinctive style that blends reggaeton, Latin trap, etc., El Único Gio has gained recognition for his Canada Latin award nominations in 2023-2024, such as hit song Con Todo released in 2023.
Early Life
El Único Gio began his interest in music at a young age, influenced by Daddy Yankee, Tupac Shakur, Notorious BIG, berner, Big L. Growing up in Edmonton he didnt have the best upbringing which caused him to resort to the street life, Gio started pursuing music more seriously during some tough times in his life with homelessness and bad influences he started to attend a program called Ihuman youth society where they equipped him with the tools he needed to create music , his first performance was at the citidel theatre in downtown Edmonton at the age of 14.
Career
El Único Gio’s breakthrough came in July 30, 2021, EP – Whatever You Need, which gained local and international attention. His music is characterized by hip hop, reggaeton and urban sounds. Since then, he has continued to release successful singles and albums, gaining a loyal fanbase.
He has collaborated with several artists, such as Jquintana, 6uadis, Oscar Banquez, Rita ann, Roc Vela.
