Effiong Essang Nigerian Institute of Architects, American Institute of Architects(born 11th June 1965) is an architect, Chief executive officer, and a housing professional.[1] He currently holds the reins at Designhaus Limited, Temples & Basilicas Limited, and Platonica Architects.
He is known for his opinionated views on environmental concerns, 21st century architecture, and green Earth activism.[2][3]
Early life and education
Childhood and family
Effiong was born on 11th June 1965 into the family of Chief E. M. Essang of Eyulor in Urue Offong Town Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
Education
He studied architecture at Obafemi Awolowo University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science. Afterward, he studied and received a Master of Science degree in Architecture at Obafemi Awolowo University.[4]
Career
Early career
After serving his nation during the National Youth Service Corps program from 1990 - 1991, he started out his career in Architecture with Shelter Designs Partnership. He later moved to Contemporary Designs Associates, where he spent four years and eventually became an associate partner.
3E Consultants
In 1996, it was time to move on, when an opening created an opportunity for a lifetime desire to be involved in floating a firm of Architects, where he became the Principal Consultant Architect of 3E Consultants.
Further Down The Line
In 2000, he became an active member of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. By 2016, he was registered as an International Associate member of the American Institute of Architects. He is an executive director of Temples & Basilicas Limited, a real estate and management outfit, as well as a principal partner at Platonica Architects, an architectural consultancy firm. Currently, he is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Designhaus Limited, an Architectural & Engineering firm.[5]
